Find out what something really costs you each time you use it.
Enter a price, how long it will last and how often you will use it. Your result appears here as you type.
$0.00
Cost per use is what you pay each time you use something. Divide the price by the number of times you will use it. A $120 pair of running shoes worn 100 times costs $1.20 per use. Wear them 300 times and each use costs $0.40. The more you use something, the less it costs you each time.
Base it on how long similar things have lasted for you, not the best case the maker promises. If you are unsure, enter a shorter lifespan. That gives a more cautious result.
Only the price you enter. For a subscription, enter the total you will pay over the lifespan you chose. For a gym membership, that is the full amount for the year.
Each verdict compares your cost per use with one US dollar, converted at approximate rates. The rates sit at the top of the script, come from mid-September 2026 quotes, and change daily. Treat the verdict as a guide.
